Pandemic Halloween
As with most things Halloween 2020 doesn’t feel the same. I’m thankful my toddler gets to wear a costume to daycare and doesn’t know what "Trick-or-Treating” is yet. She’s also going to be the CUTEST dolphin and I’m sad (thankful there won’t be sugar crashes) that we won’t get to take her around the neighborhood to knock on doors.
Personally, this year we’ve decided on a bag of Reese’s we can eat over the next few weeks and a cookie decorating kit from Buttercream Bake Shop.
I know there are some neighborhoods organizing social distanced parades and other activities. If you’re looking for other kid-friendly activities here’s a great list from KidFriendlyDC with a mix of virtual, indoor, and outdoor events.
NBC Washington has a great list of events in DC, MD, and VA indoor, outdoor, and virtual.
And if you need a drink here’s a tutorial on how to make a pumpkin keg.
